Theodor Nenu is a Lecturer in Computer Science at Christ Church College, Director of Studies for Philosophy at St Catherine's College, and Janeway Project Officer in Computer Science & Philosophy at Hertford College, University of Oxford. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Bristol and an MCompPhil in Computer Science and Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
His research focuses on intersections between philosophy of cognitive science, philosophy of mathematics, and computational theory. Notable areas include algorithmic foundations of mathematical cognition, Gödelian philosophy of mind, and fuzzy semantics. He has published widely on topics ranging from Turing's computability theories to theological paradoxes analyzed through set theory.
Nenu teaches across multiple Oxford colleges, offering tutorials in Philosophy of Mathematics, Philosophy of Language, and courses on computability theory in Computer Science. His teaching portfolio includes 'Algorithms and Data Structures' and 'Models of Computation.'
His recent work explores the philosophical implications of computational models in cognitive processes, while maintaining a focus on precise semantic frameworks for mathematical discourse. His publications demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement between formal logic, theology, and AI ethics.
