Dr. Thalia Field is an Associate Professor in the Division of Neurology at the University of British Columbia and holds the Sauder Family/Heart and Stroke Foundation Professorship of Stroke Research. She is a clinician-researcher specializing in stroke neurology, with a focus on clinical trials and stroke in younger adults, particularly cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) and congenital heart disease. Her research includes leading the SECRET trial on CVT treatment strategies and a national longitudinal study on brain health in congenital heart disease patients. She has been principal investigator on multiple high-impact studies, including the ESCAPE-NA1 trial evaluating NA-1 in stroke and the TEMPO-2 trial on tenecteplase for minor ischemic stroke.
