Thais Tasso Guaraldo

Dr. Thais Tasso Guaraldo is a Research Fellow at Coventry University's Centre for Manufacturing and Materials since 2023, focusing on catalytic materials for energy and environmental applications. She previously held a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at the University of Bath (2018–2023) and conducted research at the University of São Paulo (2015–2018). Her academic journey includes a PhD in Chemistry from São Paulo State University (2014), an MSc (2010), and a BSc (2007), all from the same institution.

Her research interests span nanomaterials synthesis (e.g., photocatalysts, electrocatalysts), smart textiles, hydrogen production, and electrochemical sensors. Key projects include developing photocatalytic foams for water treatment and 3D-printed porous ceramics. She has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to clean water and affordable energy.

Dr. Guaraldo has received awards for her work on electrochemical sensors (Sibee 2017) and molecular foams (RSC 2021).
