Dr. Thaddeus Neururer is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy within the University of Akron's College of Business. With expertise in financial accounting and data analytics, his research investigates how accounting information affects investor uncertainty, derivative security valuation, and asset pricing. Dr. Neururer also studies informational properties of analysts' forecasts and their market impacts.
He has published extensively in leading journals including Management Science, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Review of Accounting Studies. His teaching portfolio includes financial accounting courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, with current offerings covering advanced financial reporting and data analysis. Dr. Neururer has received multiple awards including the College of Business Teaching Excellence Award and Research Excellence Award.
Prior to academia, he accumulated ten years of industry experience in capital market finance, risk management, and quantitative modeling. Dr. Neururer holds a PhD in Management from Boston University, an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BS from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
