معرفی
Teva Vernoux serves as a CNRS Research Director at École normale supérieure de Lyon, leading the Hormonal Signalling and Development team within the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory (RDP). He has directed the RDP institute since 2016, following his role as deputy director from 2014-2015.
Research Focus: Vernoux pioneers multidisciplinary research integrating live-tissue biological experiments with computational modeling. His work centers on hormonal signaling mechanisms in plant self-organization, using the shoot apical meristem as a model system to decode how biological structures achieve self-construction properties across scales. Key innovations include developing in vivo auxin visualization sensors and exploring rhythmic shoot construction through his ERC-funded TEMPO project.
Awards:
- EMBO Member (2024)
- La Recherche Prize (2014)
- Leconte Prize (2014)
- CNRS Bronze Medal (2013)
- HFSP Career Development Award (2007)
Collaborations & Applications: Vernoux maintains extensive international partnerships in plant sciences. His research drives practical applications in precision agriculture through the H2020 ROMI project (Robotics for Micro Farms, 2018) and biomimetic architectural design. His ERC Advanced Grant (2022) supports fundamental investigations into cellular tempo regulation in plant development.
