Teun Kluck

Teun Kluck is a Promovendus (Researcher) at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen, affiliated with the Integrated Research on Energy, Environment and Society (IREES). His work focuses on the intersection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and planetary boundaries, investigating long-term sustainability through scenario simulations.

Research interests include:

• Systemic acceleration of Sustainable Development Goals
• Holistic modeling of SDGs and planetary boundaries
• Post-2030 sustainability strategies
• Systematic literature reviews of SDG system models

He contributes to the BeyondSDG project (2023-2028), analyzing the limitations of SDGs as sustainability indicators and developing models for long-term environmental policy planning.

His recent publication in Nature Communications explores systemic approaches to SDG acceleration at the science-policy interface, co-authored with 34+ international researchers.
