Tessa Sanders serves as Assistant Director for Ed.D. On Campus Cohorts at Lipscomb University's College of Education. She teaches doctoral-level courses in Qualitative and Quantitative Data Analysis and Research Methods.

Dr. Sanders' research focuses on educational leadership and organizational change. Her primary interests include leadership behavior and practice, change management, early literacy, curriculum and assessment, educator training, data analysis, and instructional coaching. She approaches education through both theoretical frameworks of learning organizations and practical applications in classroom settings.
Before joining Lipscomb University, Sanders served as an educational consultant in multiple cities including Detroit, New Orleans, Charlotte, and Fort Lauderdale. In Nashville, she worked as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, co-director for a pre-service teacher training program, and curriculum development consultant.
Dr. Sanders is actively involved in the Nashville community, attending Spero Dei church. She is married to Jeff Sanders, host of The 5 AM Miracle Podcast, and they have two daughters born in 2018 and 2021.
