Tess McNulty is an Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities in the Department of English at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with additional affiliation at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA). Her research focuses on viral content genres, analytic philosophy, feminist thought, and therapeutic culture. She holds a PhD in English from Harvard and previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth's Neukom Institute for Computational Science.
Her work bridges literary theory and digital media studies, including a current book project analyzing viral content across platforms like Facebook, Twitter/X, and TikTok.
