Tess E. Smidt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at MIT. She serves as Principal Investigator of the Atomic Architects research group and is affiliated with the MIT Research Laboratory of Electronics. Her work focuses on developing geometric deep learning frameworks for materials science and chemistry. She holds the X-Window Consortium Professor title and is part of the AI+D, CS, and EE faculty leadership.
