Terry W. Hill

Terry W. Hill is a Professor of Biology and Chair of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at Rhodes College. He holds a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Microbiology from the University of Florida, with research focused on fungal cell biology and microbiology.

Research Interests: Dr. Hill's work centers on genetic determinants of growth and division in fungal cells, particularly Aspergillus nidulans. His lab investigates actomyosin ring proteins, protein kinase C (PKC), the Golgi apparatus, and cell wall integrity mechanisms through mutant strain analysis.

Publication Trends: His recent articles explore mechanosensitive ion channels, IQGAP proteins, and GDP-mannose transporters in fungal cell wall maintenance, alongside long-term studies on PKC localization, cytoskeletal dynamics, and Golgi function in morphogenesis.
