Terrill Dennis Bravender

Dr. Terrill Dennis Bravender is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical School. After training at Duke University and Boston Children’s Hospital, and faculty roles at Harvard and Duke, he returned to the University of Michigan in 2014 to establish the Division of Adolescent Medicine. He holds the David S Rosen MD Collegiate Professorship and serves in multiple leadership roles, including Associate Chair for Faculty Affairs, Division Director of Adolescent Medicine, and Executive Director of the Mott Comprehensive Eating Disorders Program.

His research focuses on treatment outcomes for adolescent eating disorders, the impact of mental health on physical health conditions in adolescents, and patient-centered communication strategies. Dr. Bravender is board-certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and actively involved in professional organizations such as the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Society for Pediatric Research.
