Terri N. Watson

Terri N. Watson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at the School of Education, City College of New York (CUNY). She holds affiliations with the Black Studies Department, the Graduate Center, and the Learning, Leadership, and Culture program. Her research focuses on Black Feminist Theory, Critical Race Theory, and equity-centered school leadership in urban contexts.

Key areas of expertise include Motherwork, social justice in education systems, and transformative leadership practices. Watson’s work emphasizes addressing systemic inequities in urban schooling through policy and practice.
