Terri Goslin-Jones, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Humanistic Psychology at Saybrook University. She specializes in expressive arts therapy, creativity studies, and mindfulness practices. Her work bridges psychological principles with artistic expression to promote personal and collective transformation. Terri holds a PhD from Saybrook University (2010), an M.S. in Personnel and Counseling from Miami University (1980), and a B.S. in Psychology from Western Michigan University (1978).
Her research focuses on poetry as a therapeutic tool, leadership development, and the intersection of creativity with workplace well-being. Key publications include Life's Concerto (2025) and Weaving Ourselves Whole (2023), which explore expressive arts as pathways to wholeness. She also co-authored chapters in major encyclopedias of creativity and psychology.
Terri serves on dissertation committees at Saybrook and collaborates with the Chinese University of Hong Kong's Person-Centered Expressive Arts program. Her professional memberships include the International Expressive Arts Therapists Association and the American Psychological Association.
Her teaching emphasizes creativity's role in addressing societal challenges and personal growth. She facilitates workshops on self-compassion, death/loss, and nature-based practices, drawing from mindfulness training and transpersonal psychology.
