Terri Giller is a Lecturer in the Department of Art Therapy at West Liberty University's College of Liberal and Creative Arts. She earned her Master’s of Education from the University of Louisville in 2007 and has practiced art therapy across multiple states, serving diverse populations in settings including schools, hospitals, and community mental health facilities. She founded an art therapy business focusing on geriatric care and has served on state art therapy association boards.
Her research explores trauma-informed interventions, community-based art therapy, and the therapeutic use of nature-inspired art across media like acrylics, watercolor, and clay. She emphasizes the integration of artistic practice into therapist self-care.
Giller teaches foundational courses including CAT200 (Intro to Art Therapy), CAT310 (Art Therapy Ethics), and supervises clinical internships. She regularly presents at conferences and advocates for art therapy accessibility.
