Dr. Teresa Tarbuck is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Vincennes University. She teaches introductory chemistry (CHEM 103), general chemistry lectures and laboratories (CHEM 105/106), and a forensics physical science course for non-majors (CHEM 221). Her pedagogical work focuses on developing integrated laboratory experiments using guided inquiry to enhance students' molecular-level understanding and scientific communication skills.
Her research spans multiple areas including developing sulfur-removing catalysts for petroleum feedstocks, characterizing polymer surface structures under varying humidity conditions, and analyzing gas/water interfaces with environmentally relevant compounds. She maintains active involvement in Chemistry Club, Journal Club, American Chemical Society activities, STEM outreach programs, and serves as a mentor in the Women in STEM program.
