Teresa Del Bianco is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Researcher at Birkbeck, University of London's Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development. She holds a PhD in Psychological Sciences and Education from the University of Trento (2018) and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Pisa (2014). Her work focuses on autism spectrum disorder, infant social development, and neurodiversity, employing eye-tracking and EEG techniques. She coordinates multinational studies across Europe, Asia, and Africa, specializing in statistical methods like mixed models and growth curve analysis.
Research Interests: Infants' social development, gaze processing, autism neurodiversity, EEG analysis, and clinical trial coordination. Her projects include the AIMS-2-TRIALS consortium and Safe Passage Follow-Up in South Africa.
Publications: Over 20 peer-reviewed articles on autism, neurodevelopmental profiles, and clinical interventions. Recent work includes sex differences in social attention dynamics and temporal profiles of social behavior in autistic populations.
Grants & Projects: Leads studies on EEG-based biomarkers, neurodiversity inclusion in research networks, and scalable early mental health assessments (STREAM project). Collaborates with institutions like Henry Wellcome Building and international clinical trial networks.
Labs/Teams: Core member of the BOND Lab, part of Birkbeck's interdisciplinary team studying brain and cognitive development.
