Teresa Crea

Dr. Teresa Crea is a Senior Lecturer at UNSW's School of Art & Design within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture. Her interdisciplinary research bridges narrative theory, simulation design, and neuroscientific perspectives on storytelling. She develops immersive training frameworks for high-stakes environments including defense applications and medical emergency response. Publications examine how narrative structures enhance cognitive processing in simulated scenarios.

Research investigates dramaturgical techniques for emergency situations, psychological safety in simulation pedagogy, and cross-cultural performance traditions. Recent work analyzes how digital technologies reshape narrative cognition through embodied simulation exercises.
