Teo Nicolais is a Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and an Instructor at Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education. He holds dual affiliations with the Department of Urban Planning and Design and Harvard Extension School’s Real Estate Investment Graduate Certificate program. His professional roles include founder and principal of Nicolais, LLC, a multifamily real estate investment firm, and former Director of Finance and Acquisitions at a $500M real estate firm.
Education: M.Sc. in Real Estate Development (MIT), B.A. in Economics (Harvard College). His expertise spans real estate finance, urban development, and technology’s role in shaping built environments. Nicolais has advised global projects, testified as an expert witness for the FTC, and contributed to over 7,500 students through Harvard courses like Introduction to Real Estate Finance, Development, and Management.
Industry leadership includes board memberships at Harvard Real Estate Alumni Board and IREM’s Governing Council, alongside affiliations with Urban Land Institute, CCIM Institute, NAA, and NAR. He is one of 17 globally to hold CRE/CCIM/CPM triple certifications, reflecting his comprehensive real estate expertise.
