Teneasha Washington is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Public Health. She holds multiple roles including Associate Scientist at the UAB Center for Study of Community Health and MPH Program Director. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Public Health, MBA, Master of Public Health, and Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Her research focuses on addressing health disparities through community engagement, disability inclusion, and understanding social determinants of health. Key areas include adverse childhood experiences' impact on chronic illnesses, HIV prevention strategies among vulnerable populations, and improving health access for marginalized groups.
