Dimitra-Dora Teloni is Associate Professor in Radical Social Work at the University of West Attica's Department of Social Work. She holds a PhD from the University of Liverpool (2011) and an MA in Research Methodology from the same institution (2005), complemented by a Bachelor's in Social Work from the Technological Educational Institute of Patras (2003).
Her research examines radical social work practices, anti-racist interventions, refugee support systems, and social movements in crisis contexts. She investigates how social workers navigate austerity politics, migration challenges, and systemic inequalities in Greece and internationally.
Recent publications explore climate-related disasters, pandemic response strategies, algorithmic validation in social work research, and revolutionary supervision models. Her work consistently addresses the intersection of political economy and social service delivery.
With extensive practice experience, Teloni has worked with cancer patients, substance abuse communities, poverty initiatives, and refugee support programs. She actively contributes to international social work discourse through the Social Work Action Network and International Federation of Social Work.
