Teddy Slowik is a Lecturer at the USC School of Architecture, where he teaches architectural design studios and representation courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs. He is the founder of Novatona, an award-winning cross-disciplinary workshop focusing on low- and high-tech production methods, material research, and fabrication processes. His work spans scales from object design to spatial architecture and has been widely exhibited and published in academic and professional contexts.

Before founding Novatona, Slowik worked at internationally recognized firms such as Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture and Goettsch Partners in Chicago, as well as studios in Barcelona and Philadelphia. He has held teaching roles at Cal Poly SLO, Woodbury University, University of Virginia, Temple University, and the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally, he served as a Visiting Scholar in Robotics and Fabrication at the University of Porto’s DFL (Digital Fabrication Lab).
His research interests emphasize the intersection of digital tools, material innovation, and design processes, reflected in both his academic contributions and professional practice.
