Ted Stankowich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at California State University, Long Beach. His expertise focuses on mammals, predator-prey interactions, skunks, and coyotes. He teaches courses in Evolution, Mammalogy, Ecology, and Behavioral Ecology.
Stankowich earned a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of California, Davis, and a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. He also held a Darwin Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
His research explores predator-prey dynamics across diverse taxa including carnivores, ungulates, rodents, and spiders, emphasizing evolutionary and ecological mechanisms.
