Ted O’Donoghue is the Zubrow Professor of Economics in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a BA from Dartmouth (1990) and PhD from UC Berkeley (1996).
His research in behavioral economics examines intertemporal choice, risk preferences, and economic decision-making. He co-founded the Behavioral Economics Annual Meeting (BEAM) and has published extensively on time discounting and procrastination.
Recent publications analyze risk assessment methodologies and behavioral interventions in urban policy. His work combines experimental approaches with field data analysis.
He teaches behavioral economics courses and co-teaches the interdisciplinary course 'Better Decisions for Life, Love and Money'.
