Taylor Henry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Media and the Arts at Seton Hall University. He holds a Ph.D. in American Studies (2021) with a Sport Studies emphasis from the University of Iowa, an M.A. in American Studies (2016), and a B.A. in History (2010) from the University of Texas at Austin.

His research examines intersections of racial and gender identity in sports television, particularly through talk and debate shows. Current work explores conservative media strategies, athlete activism resistance, and ideological entrepreneurship in the Trump era. He actively publishes in journals like Critical Studies in Media Communication, Television and New Media, and the Sociology of Sport Journal.
Recent publications analyze racial politics in Fox Sports 1's framing of athletes, gender inequality in punditry, and historical development of sports debate formats. His upcoming book Stay in Your Lane (Rutgers University Press) investigates sport media's role in societal resistance and backlash dynamics.
Dr. Henry serves on university committees including the Program Review Committee and Faculty Senate, and participates in academic conferences like the International Association for Communication and Sport and NASSS. Teaching includes courses on Sport, Media & Culture and Sport & Film.
