Taylor-Helmick Tracy

Tracy Taylor-Helmick is a part-time Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. Her research focuses on human attention and memory interactions, particularly intentional forgetting mechanisms and mnemonic strategies. She holds a BA from the University of Calgary, MA/MSc and PhD from Dalhousie University, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Vanderbilt University.

Her work employs behavioral methodologies to investigate how attentional resources modulate memory retention and purposeful forgetting processes. Key research themes include directed forgetting paradigms, memory suppression mechanisms, and cognitive control processes.
