Tatyana Abankina is a Professor and Academic Supervisor at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), where she leads the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (Creative Industries Unit) and the Faculty of Creative Industries (Institute for Creative Industries Development). She has been affiliated with HSE University since 2001, holding key positions that influence academic and research directions in creative industries and cultural economics.
Her educational background includes a Candidate of Sciences (PhD equivalent) in Economics (1987) and a degree in Economic Cybernetics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (1979). She attained the rank of Professor in 2010.
