Tatiana Sanches

Tatiana Sanches serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta (Department of Education and Distance Learning) and the Polytechnic of Lisbon (Superior School of Dance), while holding research positions at the University of Lisbon's Institute of Education and ISPA's Applied Psychology Research Center. Her career spans academic librarianship, educational research, and information science, with leadership roles as Head Librarian at the University of Lisbon's Institute of Education since 2007.

Her educational background includes a Post-Doc in Information Science from the University of Coimbra, a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Lisbon, a Master's in Education and Reading, and a degree in Modern Languages and Literature. Additional qualifications include post-graduate studies in Documentary Sciences and Higher Education Pedagogy.

Dr. Sanches' research focuses on information literacy, academic librarianship, and digital education, with significant contributions to understanding post-pandemic library services, mobile information literacy, and combating disinformation through critical thinking frameworks. Her work bridges theoretical research with practical applications in academic settings across Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Macau.

Her recent publications demonstrate growing emphasis on artificial intelligence integration in information literacy, mobile technology impacts on learning, and humanization of academic library services. The research shows strong international collaboration patterns and practical applications for library professionals worldwide.

Current projects examine ChatGPT's impact on academic libraries and digital fluency in Portuguese higher education pedagogy.
