معرفی
Tatiana Efimova serves as a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering and is a member of the QSIB - Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics. With an h-index of 19 and over 1,500 citations, her research spans molecular dermatology, cardio-oncology, and bioelectronics applications.
Her research focuses on keratinocyte biology, p38 MAPK signaling pathways, and cancer-related cardiac complications. Key areas include UV-induced DNA damage repair mechanisms, anthracycline cardiotoxicity with sexual dimorphism, skin cancer therapeutics, and epidermal differentiation processes. Her fingerprint reveals strong expertise in involucrin regulation, keratinocyte differentiation, and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases.
Analysis of her 15 most recent publications shows consistent focus on molecular mechanisms of skin diseases (60%), cardio-oncology (25%), and bioelectronic applications (15%). Recent work demonstrates translational impact with clinical studies on cannabidiol for DNA protection and novel anticancer small molecule evaluations.
Collaborative research includes significant work with the Efimov lab on cardiac complications in cancer models and dermatological studies with clinical partners. Her publication record shows steady output since 1998 with notable acceleration in high-impact journals since 2020.
As a member of QSIB, she contributes to developing bioelectronic interfaces for dermatological and cardiac applications. Her work intersects with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being through cancer treatment innovation and skin disease management.
