Dr. Tatiana Cruz is a junior faculty member specializing in African American and diaspora studies within the humanities. Her research focuses on eradicating racial disparities through interdisciplinary scholarship in history and related fields.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D. and master's in history with a graduate certificate in African American and diaspora studies from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor's in history and American studies from Williams College where she participated in the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program.
Her research interests center on historical analysis of racial disparities, diaspora communities, and interdisciplinary humanities approaches. She actively contributes to fields intersecting African American studies, LGBTQ studies, political science, and sociology as recognized by her fellowship selection.
