Tamás Benedek is an Associate Professor at the Department of Fluid Mechanics, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). His research focuses on aeroacoustics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and turbomachinery design optimization. He has published extensively on axial and radial flow fans, noise reduction techniques, and vortex dynamics.

- Tip leakage vortex quantification in axial fans
- Phased array microphone techniques for noise source localization
