Tamara LaValla

Tamara LaValla is an Instructor of Art and Design at Winthrop University's College of Visual and Performing Arts. She holds a BFA from Syracuse University and has over two decades of teaching experience. Her professional background includes founding Social Design House (a multidisciplinary firm) and directing 'Up' gallery/store, which featured international artists.

Her creative work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators and exhibited in New York City. She has served as an Artists U facilitator for the South Carolina Arts Commission, helping artists develop sustainable careers. Her teaching integrates practical industry experience with foundational design principles.
