Tamara Katschnig

Tamara Katschnig is a Professor at the Private University College of Teacher Education Vienna/Krems, specializing in teacher professional development and educational research. She holds multiple editorial positions including editor for LIT Verlag's educational series and board memberships for scholarly journals Education & Instruction and SchulVerwaltung.

Her research encompasses three core domains:

• Teacher Development: Studies on continuing education effectiveness, trainer roles, and ambiguity tolerance in teaching
• Educational Systems: School leadership development, inclusive education models, and political education implementation
• Talent & Sustainability: Evaluations of gifted education programs and sustainability integration in curricula

She leads significant projects including the Vienna Talent Seal evaluation (2024-2026) and Austria-wide studies on democratic awareness in youth education.

As dissertation supervisor and research mentor, she supports emerging scholars through the KPH Vienna/Krems research ecosystem. Her institutional service includes membership in the Curriculum Commission for Continuing Education and leadership of the Adult Education Working Group.
