Talieh Sadeghi

Talieh Sadeghi is a Research Professor at the Work Research Institute (WRI), Centre for Welfare and Labour Research, Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet). Her work focuses on work inclusion, activation policies, and the role of the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV), particularly in competence development and employer engagement. She teaches quantitative methods and psychology at OsloMet and holds a PhD in the study of professions (2020) and a master’s in psychology (2013) from the University of Oslo.

Her research spans work inclusion, NAV practices, welfare policy, and quantitative methodologies. She investigates how small and medium enterprises support the inclusion of vulnerable individuals, digital follow-up in NAV, and the role of personality in education and employment. She also leads research on competence development within NAV offices and contributes to policy-relevant knowledge through scoping reviews and mixed-methods studies.

Her recent publications (2022–2025) emphasize psychological, organizational, and policy dimensions of labor inclusion, often using mixed and quantitative methods. Topics include digital service satisfaction, personality assessment (TIPI), alcohol prevention in occupational health, and labor market integration of individuals with substance use issues. Her work appears in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology, Social Policy & Administration, and Work, as well as research reports for OsloMet and the Nordic Welfare Centre.

She actively disseminates research through academic channels and public engagement, hosting the KAI-podden podcast, where she discusses work inclusion with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. She has contributed to multiple research reports on NAV services, work assessment allowances, and youth inclusion.

Talieh Sadeghi advises on evidence-based practices in public administration and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects involving psychology, public policy, and organizational studies. She is involved in projects such as ENGAGE (sustained employment in SMEs) and knowledge synthesis on the Norwegian work inclusion system. She leads dissemination efforts and contributes to educational outreach through teaching and public commentary.

She is affiliated with the Work Research Institute’s research group on the Organization of the Welfare State and contributes to knowledge development in welfare and labor policy. Her work bridges academic research and practical implementation in public services, particularly within NAV.
