Talbot Easton Selby

Easton Selby serves as Associate Dean and Professor of Visual Arts at Coastal Carolina University's School of Humanities. His academic career spans over two decades with a focus on photographic arts and cultural studies.

His educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts from Clemson University (2006) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Delta State University (2003).

Professor Selby's research interests explore the intersection of cultural identity and artistic expression. His primary areas include the history of Chinese communities in the Mississippi Delta as expressed through food traditions, Blues Music as a cultural phenomenon, and spiritual practices including Hoodoo, Voodoo, Conjure and Witchcraft. His photographic work has been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows across the United States and appears in both permanent and private collections.
