Takeshi Sakamoto is an Associate Professor in Physics and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physiology at Wayne State University's School of Medicine. He leads a biophysics laboratory focusing on molecular motors, single molecule imaging, and cellular mechanics. His work spans cancer research, solution kinetics, and the development of experimental techniques at the micro- and nanoscale.
Education: Ph.D. in Physics (details unspecified). Awards include the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (2009–2012) and NSF Career Development Award (2015–2019). Courses taught include Physics for the Life Sciences II and Research Methods in Biomedical Physics.
