Takeshi Onodera

Takeshi Onodera is a PartTime Lecturer at the School of Languages and Cultures, University of Queensland, with a focus on applied linguistics and language education. He also serves as a Web Development Officer, integrating technical expertise with academic work.

Research Interests include:

• Motivational dynamics in language learning
• Teacher development and pedagogical strategies
• Multilingual identity in Asian contexts
• Psychological factors in second language acquisition

Recent Publications (2025) explore:

• Intersections of multilingualism and educational motivation
• Goal-setting frameworks for Japanese English teachers
• Relationships between teaching enjoyment and professional motivation

These works span linguistics, educational psychology, and cross-cultural pedagogy.
