California Institute of Technology (Caltech)معرفی
Takashi Kurumaji is a Research Professor of Physics at the California Institute of Technology. He earned his B.S. (2010), M.S. (2012), and Ph.D. (2014) from the University of Tokyo, followed by positions as Visiting Associate (2022-23) and Lecturer (2024-25) at Caltech before assuming his current professorship. His research focuses on emergent phenomena in quantum materials, including topological spin textures, magnetoelectric effects, and chiral magnetism in complex materials systems.
Dr. Kurumaji's work explores condensed matter physics through the lens of symmetry-breaking transitions, with particular expertise in multiferroics, skyrmion lattices, and topological semimetals. His recent investigations center on light-matter interactions in antiferromagnets, metamagnetic transitions in rare-earth compounds, and designer materials for spintronic applications.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals strong emphasis on correlated electron systems, with trends in quantum transport measurements under extreme conditions, neutron scattering characterization of exotic magnetic orders, and theoretical frameworks for topological excitations. His work consistently bridges fundamental symmetry principles with potential device applications.
