Taka Matsunaga is Assistant Professor and Director of Orchestras at Elmhurst University's Department of Music. He conducts the University Orchestra, teaches courses in Conducting and String Techniques, and holds leadership roles at Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra and Birch Creek Music Performance Center.
His research focuses on orchestral performance pedagogy, conductor training, and ensemble leadership. He actively develops educational frameworks for aspiring musicians through national workshops.
