Tai Lee Siang

Professor Tai Lee Siang is Deputy President and Chief Innovation & Enterprise Officer at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). He oversees the Design and Artificial Intelligence (DAI) program and serves as Centre Director of DesignZ, SUTD’s next-generation design center. Previously, he led the Architecture and Sustainability Design (ASD) Pillar from 2021–2024.

His research focuses on Architecture, Sustainable Design, and Urban Planning, emphasizing climate-resilient infrastructure and design innovation. His publications highlight strategies for net-zero urban development and cultural identity in city branding.

He has held leadership positions in Singapore’s design and sustainability sectors, including President of the Singapore Institute of Architects, Chairman of the Design Alliance of Singapore, and President of the Singapore Green Building Council. At BCA, he spearheaded industry transformation as Executive Director of BuildSG, managing a team of nearly 100.
