Tahsin Engin

Tahsin Engin is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). His research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), vibration control systems, heat exchanger optimization, and magnetorheological fluid applications. Engin has contributed extensively to structural dynamics, thermal systems, and fluid mechanics, with a particular emphasis on practical engineering solutions for mechanical systems.

His work spans experimental and numerical methods, addressing challenges in automotive radiators, seismic protection systems, and energy-efficient heat exchangers. Engin has supervised 18 ongoing theses and holds multiple awards, including the TEÇEP Translation Work Awards (2013, 2015) and a Silver Medal from TPE (2017).
