Taha Havakhor is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Desautels Faculty Scholar at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. He previously served as Research Director of the Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) and Assistant Professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business. His research focuses on AI's strategic impact, IT investments, and digital transformation in both established and entrepreneurial firms.

Recent research highlights include analyzing retail investor behavior with machine intelligence, social media narratives in venture funding, and cybersecurity's role in digitization. His interdisciplinary approach addresses both academic and practitioner audiences through rigorous empirical methods.
Notable grants include a SSHRC Insight Grant (2023). His work has appeared in top journals like Management Science, MIS Quarterly, and Information Systems Research. He currently holds a faculty scholar position and advises on strategic IT investments and digital ecosystems.
