Taha Elhag

Dr. Taha Elhag is an Associate Professor in Project Management at Heriot-Watt University's School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society. He holds a PhD and has held academic roles at UCL and Manchester University. His expertise spans knowledge management, innovation processes, project procurement systems, and BIM applications. He has advised over 80 refereed papers and contributed to EPSRC grants. Dr. Elhag also serves on the Board of Directors of CIB and as Regional Director for CIB MENA. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to infrastructure sustainability.

Research Interests: Focuses on integrating technology into construction management, including BIM, AR, and Metaverse applications in facilities management. Explores lean construction methodologies, cost modeling, and PPP frameworks. Active in organizational learning and sustainable infrastructure development.

Grants & Advising: Principal Investigator for EPSRC grants. Supervised MSc and PhD students. Served as internal/external examiner for universities. Provides professional training for APM/PMI certifications and UNDP capacity-building programs.

Labs/Teams: Engaged in multidisciplinary research teams focused on digital transformation in construction and infrastructure management systems.
