Taewook Nam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Semiconductor Systems Engineering at Sejong University, where he leads the Advanced Semiconductor Processing Laboratory (ASPL). Previously, he held positions at Soonchunhyang University (2024), University of Colorado Boulder (2019-2024), and Yonsei University (2018-2019).
- Education: Ph.D. (2018), M.S. (2013), and B.S. (2011) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Yonsei University
Research interests focus on atomic layer etching (ALE) and atomic layer deposition (ALD) for next-generation semiconductor electronics. His work includes high-k dielectric deposition, thermal ALE of metals/oxides/nitrides, and advanced electronics fabrication (quantum computing, µLEDs).
Recent trends in his 15 most recent publications (2023-2025) emphasize thermal ALE mechanisms for ZnO, Mo, and ZnS, while exploring ALD for metal nanoparticles in 2D optoelectronics.
Scientific awards include selections for:
- Ministry of Science and ICT - NRF Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Specialized Workforce Development (2025)
- Ministry of Trade - Industry-Academia Joint Investment Semiconductor Advanced Talent Development (R&D) (2025)
Labs and teams at ASPL have expanded since 2024 with members like Giyeong Shin, Seung Yeop Lee, Suhun Jung, and Taewon Han (2025), Hyeokjun Cheon (2025), Minseob Lee, and Jonghyuk Park (2025).
