Tadeusz Stefaniak

Dr. Tadeusz Stefaniak serves as Professor and Rector at the University of Physical Education in Wrocław, holding key positions within the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Department of Sports Didactics.

Born on July 29, 1960 in Strzelin, Poland, Professor Stefaniak graduated from high school with biology and chemistry focus before earning his degree from the Academy of Physical Education in Wrocław in 1983. He obtained his PhD in physical education sciences in 1990 and habilitation in 2009. His academic journey began in 1984 as an assistant at the Department of Combat Sports, progressing to Professor in the Department of Sports Didactics in 2009.

His research focuses on optimizing strength development during ontogeny with emphasis on coordination aspects, kinesthetic differentiation, and sensorimotor skills development. As a certified master-class bodybuilding coach and Class I boxing coach, he bridges theoretical knowledge with practical expertise in sports training methodologies.

Professor Stefaniak teaches theory and methodology of bodybuilding, instructor specialization courses in bodybuilding, boxing, and strength training, while supervising bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses. He has held significant leadership positions including Director of the Institute of Sport (2010) and Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences since 2012 (re-elected in 2016).
