Taconis Stolk serves as Head of the ArtScience Interfaculty at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), where he has lectured since 1998. He concurrently teaches at Leiden University's MediaTechnology MSc programme, STEIM Amsterdam, and consults for the Dutch Arts Council.

- Master's Degree in ArtScience, ArtScience Interfaculty
Stolk's research explores conceptual art and metamodernism through the aesthetics of concepts and contextual technology. His interdisciplinary practice spans interactive media, nano-aesthetics, and genetic design, often merging artistic expression with scientific inquiry. Key projects include weather-driven audio compositions, magnetic fragrance nanotechnology, and 'impossible colours' video series that challenge sensory perception boundaries.
As an educator, Stolk has mentored generations of students across KABK's Bachelor's and Master's ArtScience programs for over 25 years. His leadership extends to collaborative initiatives with Radboud University Nijmegen and international cultural institutions, fostering cross-disciplinary research frameworks.
Stolk founded WLFR studio in Amsterdam during the mid-1990s, producing internationally exhibited works including mobile phone disabling devices, chess intention-hacking systems, and experimental theatre exploring numerical beauty. The studio's metamedia projects have been presented across Europe, the Americas, and Asia through performances, installations, and publications.
