Taajah Witherspoon

Taajah Witherspoon is an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), based in the School of Education's Curriculum & Instruction department. Her work focuses on preparing pre-service early childhood and elementary educators, with an emphasis on culturally responsive teaching for African American students in urban settings. She previously served as a classroom teacher and math coach, and holds administrative certification to support educational leadership.
