T. J. Bacon

T. J. Bacon is a Senior Lecturer in Performance Art at Middlesex University specializing in phenomenological approaches to live art practice and queer theory.

Research: Develops SELF/s framework analyzing embodied experience in performance through Merleau-Ponty and Heidegger. Current EU projects explore performance-based futures methodologies.

Creative Practice: Creates experimental performances including CHTHONIC and Psychogenesis Series examining identity, corporeality, and liminal spaces. Exhibited at Tempting Failure Festival and Live Art Development Agency.
