Sławomir Pilipiec

Dr. Sławomir Pilipiec is a lecturer and research assistant professor at the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), Faculty of Law and Administration. He serves as a scientific supervisor for the Sociology of Law Research Club and participates in university governance through roles on the Teaching Committee and Student Organizations Committee.

His research focuses on empirical studies of law students' career trajectories, sociology of law, and legal education. Collaborating with Monika Kępa, he co-authored publications analyzing professional preferences and perspectives of law students, grounded in empirical data collected at UMCS.

He has supervised over 200 bachelor's and master's theses and authored educational publications, including a textbook on administrative sociology. His professional activities extend beyond academia: he is a registered legal advisor, judge at the Higher Disciplinary Court of the National Chamber of Legal Advisors in Warsaw, and Training Director for Trainee Lawyers at the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Lublin.
