Søren Brage

Søren Brage is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark. He is affiliated with the Research Unit of Exercise Epidemiology, where his work focuses on the epidemiology of physical activity and its impact on health across the lifespan.

His research interests lie primarily in physical activity epidemiology, objective measurement using accelerometry, energy expenditure, and sedentary behavior. He investigates how physical activity patterns influence body composition, mental health, and disease risk, especially in children and adolescents. His work often evaluates public health interventions and policies, such as nationwide school-based programs aimed at increasing physical activity and reducing screen time.
