معرفی
Sylvie Coscoy is a CNRS Research Fellow and permanent researcher at the Curie Institute, Paris, affiliated with Sorbonne Université as Head of the Doctoral Host Group for ED394 Physiology, Pathophysiology and Therapeutics. She works in the Cell Physics and Cancer unit (UMR168) and the Macromolecules and Microsystems in Biology and Medicine (MMBM) team.
Her research centers on the mechanical and geometric aspects of multicellular systems in disease. She develops biomimetic systems, including kidney-on-a-chip models for ADPKD and 3D microscaffolds to study tumor microenvironment. Key interests: microfluidics, microfabrication, renal cysts, extracellular matrix, mechanotransduction, and cytoskeleton dynamics.
Recent publications show a trend towards engineering solutions for biological problems, particularly in renal disease modeling and cancer. Her work bridges biomedical engineering and cell biology, using advanced fabrication techniques to probe cellular forces and organization.
Dr. Coscoy has supervised multiple PhD students: two theses completed in her renal cyst project and one completed plus three ongoing in her tumor microenvironment project.
She is an active member of the MMBM team at UMR168, which focuses on interdisciplinary approaches combining physics, engineering, and biology to understand disease mechanisms.
